Former director of the CIA, James Schlesinger, once said, "We have only two modes--complacency and panic."
The panic button hasn't been pushed quite yet when it comes to the end of oil, but Allen Fuhs, Professor at Naval Post-Graduate School in Monterey and the author of ten books, believes it will be soon: "The energy situation is like a waterfall," he said in his April 17 lecture. "We are on a quiet river now, but lurking downstream is sudden disaster."
